What’s new in the new Palm webOS 1.3

Web OS Version 1.3 is available with us and the new version or the update is expected in the near future. Palm is delivering the Pixi on the U.S. market which will be decorated the same with the new operating system.

If you look at the features of the smartphone one could think that Palm have to improve some of its features. But the current features are very nice and the improvement in those features will make it more users friendly.

Here is the incomplete and unofficial list with the innovations in webOS 1.3

· Internet access can be manually created in the future
· There is a mode which disables all data connections
· The calendar and contacts can now be matched with Yahoo
· LinkedIn is the American counterpart to Xing and will now be integrated
· SMS and MMS messages can be forward
· Files, such as for example PDF, DOC, EXL, MP3, BMP, GIF, JPG can be saved directly from the browser
· Text can be highlighted and copied in the web browser
· self-signed certificates are accepted
· Bookmarks are saved
· Business cards in vCard format can be sent via Bluetooth
· iTunes support (until Apple does something about it again)
· Synchronization of photos via iTunes
· Information messages appear even if display is locked
